1. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
Through the eyes: I learned about how limestone is mined for sculpting. I love geology, so this was something I really could relate to.
Installation Art: This one gave me the only definition of installation art I really "got"
glass and ceramics- I learned that silver sulfide or chloride are used for stain glass. I connected with this because one of my favorite things at the science museum was the nano exhibit last year where they dealt with nano silver and nano gold for stained glass.
And that ceramics can be used in cars - who would have thought?
2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
Both try to explain what these techniques are about - I found that the videos worked better for me. The visual images really made a difference in understanding
3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the topics: Sculpture, Installation, and Craft?
I think the videos really made things much clearer for me. I would never have understood installation art, for instance ,with out it.
